Leadership

Jonathan D. Spiliotopoulos

Hi everybody! I play many roles — husband, father, friend, business owner, artist, designer, philanthropist, manager, servant, student, and more.

I discovered networking soon after founding my company in 2017. I was very fortunate to be embraced by a community of kind and generous business owners who taught me that the best approach to sales wasn't to sell; it was to get to know, like, and trust the people around me.

As an introvert for whom persuasion and manipulation feels unnatural, I felt relieved to learn that I wouldn't have to convince anybody to work with me (and, in fact, I shouldn't).

Since then, without "selling" anything, my company has multiplied in size several times over. Add to that, many unexpected opportunities have appeared in my path. I've made some deep, life-long friendships with people I've come to love, I've discovered opportunities to serve on non-profit boards and give back to my communities, and more. In many ways I've found myself, and really began living for the first time in my life.

And it all happened because one random Thursday in November 2017, I heard these words at a networking event: If you build the relationship, the business will come. Those words, for me, were life changing.

Beaver County Networking is set up in the same spirit, and with the same goals — to bring people together in our business community and help each other grow, to form meaningful relationships in service to each other and to Beaver County. And I'm very much looking forward to meeting everybody.
